You can permanently delete your Niyam account and erase every record we hold for you. There are two
ways to do it.
Option 1 — From inside the app (instant)
Open Niyam on your Android device.
Tap the Settings tab (gear icon on the bottom nav).
Under the Account section at the top, tap Delete account.
Read the confirmation, then tap Delete.
Your account and all your synced data are removed from our servers immediately. The app resets to a
fresh state on your device.
Option 2 — By email (we respond within 7 days)
If you cannot access the app — for example, you have already uninstalled it — write to us at
netipranavaditya@gmail.com
from the Google account you signed in with. Tell us you want your Niyam account deleted. We acknowledge
within 7 days and complete deletion within 90 days, as required by India's Digital Personal Data
Protection Act, 2023.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove from our servers:
Your profile — the email address and Google account identifier we received when you signed in.
Your synced practice — current mantra, sadhana progress, completed mantras, chosen intention and display language.
Your favourites.
Your entitlement record — premium status, plan and trial start.
What stays where it is
Anything stored only on your device (your blocked-app list, theme, streak/read counts, the accessibility detection itself) is removed when you uninstall the app.
Your Google account is not affected. We never had access to it — only the email address you chose to share at sign-in.
Your Google Play subscription is billed and managed by Google Play. Deleting your Niyam account does not cancel a paid subscription. To cancel a subscription, go to
play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
or open Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Retention
We do not keep archived copies after deletion. We retain backups for routine disaster-recovery purposes
only and overwrite them on a normal rotation; nothing is exported to long-term storage.
